We’re thrilled to announce that our Skier Development Program(SDP) is open for the 2023- 2024 season. SDP introduces Bunnyrabbits (children aged four to six and Jackrabbits (children ages seven to nine) to the joy of cross-country skiing. (The Track Attack Programs for children ages 10 to 14 will be available next season in 2024-2025).

Skiers will learn the basics in a fun atmosphere that includes games, treats and scavenger hunts. Plus, every week has a different theme, like the always-popular crazy hat day.

Bunnyrabbits and Jackrabbits runs every Saturday from the first week of January to the first weekend of March (not including the Family Day weekend) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The program is beloved by kids and the volunteer coaches who manage it, including members of the Cypress Nordic Ski Club, who share tips and their experiences.

Registration

To register your child for Bunny Rabbits or Jackrabbits, follow these steps:

1. Cypress Nordic membership: All skiers in our children’s and youth programs must be Cypress Nordic members for insurance purposes.

2. Bunnyrabbit/Jackrabbit: Once you’ve purchased your individual or family Cypress Nordic membership, you can register for the programs themselves, also through Registration Page.

Cypress Nordic aims to make cross-country skiing available to everyone. If costs are an issue, please email our coaching staff at cnsc@gmail.com.

Finally, while we hope to run the full program, our ability to do so is dependent on the number of coaches we have. If we must cancel or fold a group level due to a lack of volunteers, your membership and program fees can be available for refund. We will work with you to determine what is best for your family if this should occur.
