Ages: 4–8
Dates: Saturdays – January 17, 24, 31 & February 7
Time: 11:00 am–12:00pm
Location: Kin Coulee Park, Medicine Hat (other locations such as Elkwater/Cypress Hills may be used if snow is insufficient)
Program Fee: $60 + Cypress Nordic membership $25
Small class sizes: Minimum 4 / Maximum 10 participants
**If a session is cancelled due to insufficient registration, a full refund will be provided
Program Description
- Children will be divided into two groups based on skill and maturity (assessed at the first session, with adjustments as needed)
- Parents of 4–5 year olds must be on-snow to support leaders (and are encouraged to join in!)
- Sessions emphasize ski-play and FUN through activities and games
- Kids develop FUNdamental motor skills (agility, balance, coordination, speed) and movement on skis
Equipment & Clothing
- Participants must bring appropriate ski equipment and winter clothing
- A Parent Information Session will be held before classes begin to review equipment and clothing requirements
Volunteer Opportunities
- Parents with strong basic ski skills are welcome to help as leaders
