Exciting news, the Cypress Nordic Ski Club is officially a thing!!!

Mark your calendars, we are doing an initial kick-off/soft launch on Saturday April 1st! We know there’s no snow in Medicine Hat but there is still lots of snow in Elkwater and up on the bench, just ask anyone who has to shovel it. Though this being Southern Alberta that can change quickly, this page will be updated with any changes, check back frequently.

We’d love for you to come out and meet us and learn about the club. Membership has its rewards – come find out what they are!

We will be at the Learning Center in Elkwater from from 9:00 – 12:30. Come out and say “hello”, have a coffee or hot chocolate, and see what we are all about.

Or better yet, take advantage of a complimentary lesson from our 2 great instructors, Kwan Lee and Gregg Campbell. There will be a lesson for beginners and another lesson for intermediate skiiers.

Ski rentals and prep at 10:00 am, lesson from 10:30 to 12:30.

No equipment? No problem! The park has generously offered free xc ski rentals for our soft launch day, these will be available on a first come first serve basis, so get there early!

Then hone the skills you’ve just learned by joining us for a ski at Spring Creek. We will be up at the Spring Creek trailhead at 1:00, with more coffee and hot chocolate to fuel you!
